Legal Assistants
MJP solicitors pride themselves upon the quality of their legal assistants who are trained to deal with all of our clients´ day to day arrangements for appointment and Court appearances and very much more. They are actively involved in your case and are usually familiar with the overall strategy for your case.
Marie Hampton leads the team of legal assistants throughout the practice and they are responsible for providing day to day advice on cases as they proceed, organising case papers and files to ensure that the solicitors have all the materials they require for the case.
They give advice upon the meaning of court orders, bail conditions, and the like and what can and cannot be done as it arises on a day to day level.
Each solicitor has a legal assistant and they are familiar with the client´s case, your case, and field telephone calls, making telephone appointments for more detailed matters or personal appointments when they are needed. Their work is of the utmost confidentiality and they are contractual obligated is this regard.
Marie Hampton and her team provide reassurance and understanding to clients assisting them with administrative paperwork required for legal aid or Court papers. They have complete access to the solicitors and can check on points with them to give you that all important immediate response.
They telephone clients to remind them to turn up at Court and deal with appointments for barristers, experts and social workers. They make sure that clients are in the right place at the right time (and lawyers and files are there too!).
We value the opinions of our legal assistants and often they are involved in conferences and meetings with clients and barristers with the solicitors. They are part of a team effort working on your case.
