Mark Jones - Senior Partner

Mark Jones qualified as a solicitor in 1983 and was a general practitioner and equity partner in the firm of Silverbeck & Co. Mark dealt with commercial fraud cases and practiced in commercial law dealing with high value corporate transactions. Mark Jones dealt with frauds involving Local Authorities, County Council, Trade Unions and public & private companies.

In 1996 - Mark Jones set up MJP solicitors - ´making justice possible...´ to accommodate the requirements of holding a Legal Aid Franchise. Mark Jones is the supervisor for serious fraud cases involving conspiracies, computer crime, copyright crime and all aspects of money laundering.

Mark Jones heads up the Crown Court team consisting of Mike Ellis, Robert Code, Dominic McNabb, Neil Gunn and others.

There are 18 legal advisors including solicitors and clerk in the MJP solicitors´ team who are authorised to conduct publicly funded work. (see VHCC below ).

The Partners are assisted by Marie Hampton who has worked with Mark Jones since 1989 and directs the work in the Liverpool Office.

Mark Jones initially vets all fraud related cases and these cases are worked on as a team with other Partners.

Mike Ellis - Partner

Mike Ellis qualified in 1996 and worked with Mark Jones in Silverbeck & Co and dealt with serious homicide, drugs and financial conspiracies and gained experience in these areas from 1990.

Mike Ellis is a Partner in the Crown Court Department dealing with serious crime, conspiracies, money laundering and murder cases.

Mike Ellis has extensive experience in dealing with very serious allegations successfully and has represented many clients facing life sentences.

Mike Ellis combines his skill as a lawyer with superb client care and he takes instructions in relation to all types of cases and can advise on any type of criminal matter.

Mike Ellis is a VHCC qualified solicitors (see VHCC below ) able to deal with serious lengthy cases.

Robert Code - Partner

Robert Code qualified in 1998 from being a trainee solicitor at MJP solicitor.

Bob has considerable experience in dealing with all types of criminal matters including fraud, copyright and conspiracy cases.

Bob has dealt with large scale carousel fraud case as well assexual offences and internet pornography cases successfully and is specially qualified in the new evidential rules applicable. The firm specialist in - house skills with computer and electronic evidence is of great assistance in proving where computer evidence comes from how it can be wrongly attributed.

Bob also deals with serious crimes of a description including firearms offences and allegations of Perverting the Course of Justice.

Bob Code has represented successfully many client´s facing very long terms of imprisonment and is a specialist in mental health aspects of criminal litigation.

Bob Code deals with money laundering allegations and confiscation cases.

Dominic McNabb

Dominic McNabb has experience in dealing with directors´ liability cases and health and safety cases along with large scale importation conspiracies and general Crown Court litigation.

Dominic has been involved in high profile drug conspiracy cases and is qualified to deal with confiscation matters.

Dominic has experience as a qualified solicitor since 1994 and joined MJP solicitors in 2000 as a partner.

Dominic has a wide ranging experience in dealing drugs conspiracies, sexual offences, murder and violence cases and fraud related cases.

Neil Gunn

Neil Gunn has been a qualified solicitor since 1995.

Neil Gunn has dealt with large scale commercial robbery cases and has successfully defended clients involved with matters of public interest including receiving national publicity, representing clients facing very lengthy sentences of imprisonment.

Neil is responsible for Crown Court work in the Wirral office and supervises serious criminal cases in that office.

Neil is experienced in successfully defending drugs, fraud and violence allegations

Neil Gunn is qualified to deal with confiscation cases.
